A little bit about myself
I'm Tomas, a Product Designer from Argentina. I've always been passionate about building things (and taking them apart), and I'm constantly thinking about how things can be improved or designed based on their use.
In 2010, I began my design journey by studying Industrial Design, where I found a perfect balance between my creative and technical skills. During my studies, I learned about design processes such as design thinking, manufacturing, teamwork, and critical thinking.
Since 2014, I've worked on numerous projects of varying sizes, primarily focusing on product design from concept to development. My experience spans various aspects of design, with a primary focus on industrial and product design. I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate within cross-functional teams, which has broadened my approach to problem-solving and innovation.
In recent years, I’ve shifted my focus to UX/UI design, completing several design courses to deepen my understanding of the field. Despite the differences between physical and digital products, I’ve discovered many similarities in their processes and user-centered focus. Since 2022, I’ve also developed a deep curiosity about AI, keeping myself updated on the latest developments and integrating AI tools into my workflow to enhance my design process.
Skills and Interests
I consider myself a versatile designer with a wide set of skills, including research, concept design, ideation, brand design, 3D modeling, product visualization and prototyping. My experience in both physical and digital product design has allowed me to develop a versatile skillset that I continuously expand.
Apart from my formal education, I'm very much self-taught. Once I become interested in something, it's hard for me to let go. Whether it's improving my skills in design or learning about new technologies like AI, I dive deep into the subject matter.
Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors with my girlfriend, friends, family, and my lovely dog. I also enjoy making sourdough bread, something I’m quite proud of. On the creative side, I play keys in a rock band called Paisanos de Marte (check us out on Spotify 😉). I'm also quite a geek and enjoy building things with my 3D printer.
